Implementation Management Planning

As project teams are formed and work begins, the first task is to get agreement on project goals and scope. Our implementation management-planning program – Project JumpStart, produces significantly greater alignment of project team members, reducing the risk of unresolved differences that can slow down implementation.

This facilitated session enables project teams to complete the AIM Project Overview (that goes beyond the traditional project charter), clarify the motivation for change, and establish the foundation for a sound project communication plan.

Given Edwards Deming’s statement that success or failure of any process is determined in the first 20% of that process, it’s extremely important that initiatives get started correctly. Project JumpStart accomplishes exactly that.

Target Group

Core intact project team members of a live project, ideally at the start of the project, and assuming the following:

  • The project is authorized with an absolute decision to go forward

  • The project has been funded or budgeted

  • A Leader, Project Manager, or Project Director has been identified

  • A preliminary project structure is in place with a core team of 5-10 team members

Topics

  • How to create a clear and commonly-held definition of the change, including defining the desired new behaviors
